Introducing iPad4Edu.com

Allow me to introduce my latest thing: iPad4Edu.

iPad4Edu is a website dedicated to helping educators understand and use the iPad in educational contexts. Education is broadly defined - from early years through to further, higher and adult education.

iPad4Edu is based on the popular Stack Overflow platform, which has proven a big hit in the area of knowledge exchange on the web. I hope this site can become useful to teachers interested in using the iPad in education.

Please feel very free to sign up and start asking and answering questions. I'd love to see you there.

I've just started following you, and have lots of back posts to catch up with. The combination of mac geek and teacher and blogger is a big win.

For personal reasons I'm particularly interested in the use of iPhoneOS devices (and the ChromeOS analogs) in the support and lifelong education of special needs persons. (One of my blogs is http://bestyoucanbe.blogspot.com). I'll be subscribing to the topic feeds for the iPad4Edu and hope I can contribute at some point.

It will be interesting to see if the Amazon/Macmillan war is related to awareness that publishers will start providing subsidized iPads to schools as part of textbook contracts.
