Here's my end of year post, in a series of Tweets:
2009 prediction: card security and online banking fraud will be a huge mainstream news issue.
2009 prediction: organic farming at any meaningful scale will collapse.
2009 Prediction: Appreciable numbers of people in the UK will start to use 3G USB dongles as their sole connection to the internet.
Gloomy 2009 prediction: big media/political fuss around a teenage girl committing suicide over interactions on Bebo. Hope I'm wrong here.
2009: David Cameron will become Prime Minister with a razor thin majority, but mostly because of a weak Labour election campaign.
2009 prediction: Git will win, partly thanks to @github.
2009 Prediction: At least two major UK newspapers will go out of business. The Scotsman will be first.
2009 Prediction: SSD storage will start to be standard equipment in notebooks by the end of the year.
2009 Prediction: iPhone OS will become a serious platform in the mobile gaming market (if it's not already).
That's all. Have a great 2009.

Git will win what? You might need to be more specific, considering most places I consult to don't even use subversion yet.
Can you control (checkin, checkout, etc.) git from inside of Xcode? I've just started using subversion (after having "gone bareback" lo these many years) and am realize the power of SCM. I like being able to control subversion from inside of Xcode - can I do that with git or do I need to hop over to the terminal?
